Caleb + Family

I love pumpkins. A lot. Too much. It is then no surprise that fall (as fall-y as one can get living in southern California) is my absolute favorite time of year. While I may not get to revel in the glory of changing leaves and brisk cool days, my obsession is satisfied with pumpkin patches, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin tea, pumpkin bread, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin oatmeal….You get the point. What happens when some of my dearest friends and their feisty and silly 4-year old mix with pumpkins? Heaven.

I was ecstatic at the opportunity to shoot this beautiful family at Forneris Farms on a rather warm “fall” day (read: 92 degrees). Pumpkin patch aside, Forneris Farms claims to have one of the only southern California corn mazes. What an unexpected beautiful backdrop it created! Caleb led Mom and Dad through the twist and turns, darting in and out of the tall stalks and hunting for fallen corn treasures. It was such bliss to capture a family dynamic in an unfamiliar yet adventurous environment.

Most importantly!! There is a very special PART TWO to this family session. So, for now…to be continued!
