storytelling.

this photo was taken in august, 2016. I was pregnant. probably around 5 weeks. six days later, I would end up having emergency surgery at 2:30am. an ectopic pregnancy.

infertility struggles can feel so isolating. you feel like mother nature and your body are betraying you. but what I’ve learned in these past 20 months is that people struggle to get and stay pregnant. it’s so, SO common, and yet no one talks about it.

my photography is fueled by storytelling. I’m telling our story because I want others to know that they are not alone. I want to break the taboo of infertility, where people feel they have to go through this silently. this journey that my husband and I are on is our story. it is the story of how we will, someday, become parents. it will be our future child’s story.

and I want to tell yours. because, once that baby is here, all you know is that they were absolutely #worththewait.
