los angeles family photography / the fordyce family at the broad

a slightly bit delayed, but oh so exciting, part 2 of my time spent with the fordyce family! (you can see part 1 at civil coffee here).

all I really want to say about these photos is: “and now for something completely different”

the fordyce family really wanted to do a more urban backdrop and I was so excited and up for the challenge. you can give me beautiful nature and warm light, and i’ll go wild– but I so appreciate the opportunity to be a bit out of my element with a modern setting.

we spent some time at the broad museum in downtown los angeles, where the architecture of the building promoted itself to being the 5th family member being photographed. epic, sleek, organic, yet structured. I so love how these images turned out.

we then explored around the disney concert hall, and ended our time with ice cream. obviously. because that’s what you do.
